Ben and his team at Proclaim have hired a very strong team of talented people. Some of this is credit to the high visibility and creativity of the media world: a lot of people want to do this for a living. But some of it is due to the executive team’s consistent scouting for new, first-class talent. The team uses expectancy theory and Malcolm Gladwell’s Three Pillars of Job Satisfaction to maintain high morale. In addition, there is a heavy emphasis on highly specific core values (No MBA Buzzwords Allowed!). One of the core values is “Emphathize, Care, Solve”, and this gives team members the freedom to share personal challenges, but also puts them in a safe place to laugh at themselves. This is vitally important: everyone should be able to joke with anyone in a respectful and constructive way, and no one gets more ribbing than the founder and CEO. That’s part of the gig. All of this contributes to a culture that is second to none, and the retention speaks for itself.
About our Speaker:

Mr. Wiggins began his career in sports with Texas A&M Football’s coaching staff in the mid-2000s, and then transitioned to media.
